As the foregoing pages imply, our commercial transactions practice has been centred on but not confined to work relating to projects in the oil-and-gas, electricity, real estate and transport sectors.

Our work on commercial contracts involving project sponsors has included advice on concession agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, the provision of stevedoring services, the sale of electric power and the purchase of gas for power generation purposes.

We have been advising on both transnational and local agreements for the distribution and franchising of a wide variety of capital and consumer goods and services.

Among these are chains of “fast food” restaurants, visa application processing services, motor vehicles, telecommunications equipment and services, computer software and hardware, security gadgets, industrial explosives and advertizing.

Our work has also included acting for clients in transactions for the sales and support of purchases of industrial chemicals, aircraft, marine vessels, motor vehicles, computer hardware and telecommunications equipment.

We have advised on numerous contracts for the purchase and sale of electric power, for the sale and support of purchases of electricity-generating equipment and other installations and for the operation and maintenance of such equipment.

Our lawyers have done extensive work on the development, marketing and licensing of computer software and intellectual property rights, and for the printing,  transport and publishing of printed literature .

We have advised on numerous contracts for the provision of services including the carriage of goods by air, sea and road; the “outsourcing” by business enterprises of diverse services that they need; the provision of e-commerce services; the provision of security personnel services; and the provision of insurance coverage.

We have advised extensively on contracts for the storage and warehousing of equipment and consumer goods, and on “cost-plus” and “cost-sharing” service arrangements within groups of companies that include both foreign and locally-incorporated entities.

We have also represented clients in numerous construction industry transactions.  These transactions include the hiring of consultants and technical experts in the very early stages of projects, and the management of a quarry.

We have advised on the conclusion of contracts for the engineering, procurement and construction or rehabilitation of major buildings and other facilities such as airports and hospitals.
