Deal Announcement: G. Elias congratulates Geometric Power Limited (“Geometric”) on the commissioning of its 188 MW power plant
G. Elias felicitates with Geometric Power Limited (“Geometric”) on the commissioning of its 188 MW power plant on Monday, February 26, 2024. The commissioned plant will generate power for nine local government areas in Abia State, including the Osisioma industrial area of Aba – a major commercial hub in southeastern Nigeria.
G. Elias advised Africa’s leading export credit financier, African Export-Import Bank (“Afreximbank”), in its provision of critical financing for the completion of this crucial power plant which is billed to revive industrial activities in the Aba ring-fenced area by ensuring the constant supply of electric power to small, medium and large scale businesses in the hub. We congratulate the Geometric team led by Prof. Barth Nnaji – the project’s sponsor, driver and ultimate mastermind.
G. Elias further commends Afreximbank for its continued promotion of indigenous industrial activities in Sub-Saharan Africa through the provision of timely and invaluable financing to local projects and for continuing to trust us to advise it on its most complex and significant transactions.
