Deal Announcement: G. Elias congratulates the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (“NSIA”) on the commissioning of the precedent-setting 10MW solar power project
G. Elias congratulates the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (“NSIA”) on the commissioning of the precedent-setting 10MW solar power project (the “Project”) in Kumbotso, Kano State by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
We are honoured to have advised the NSIA (Nigeria’s “Sovereign Wealth Fund”) on the Project. It is the largest utility-scale solar farm and grid-connected solar photo-voltaic plant in Nigeria, and a pilot for comparable projects to be sited at several locations nationwide.
The Project will provide access to clean and sustainable energy to manufacturers, market traders and other consumers in Kano State. The Project also affirms Nigeria’s commitment to attaining net zero carbon emissions by 2060.
