In this piece, our Senior Associate Lawal Ijaodola, Associate Oluwaseun Oyekan and intern Jennifer Kachisicho Ortuanya, consider the admissibility or otherwise of hearsay evidence in arbitral proceedings in Nigeria. They argued that unless otherwise expressly agreed by the parties or ordered by the arbitral tribunal, there is nothing rendering inadmissible hearsay testimonies in arbitrations.
