Intellectual property, particularly, Trade Secrets form a major part of the valuation of every mainstream company and/or start-ups. Needless to say why companies make conscious efforts towards the protection of their Trade Secrets. Trade Secrets are engendered by watertight concealment of certain creative details and/or method through contractual terms and corporate policies. They are unlike other IPs in terms of registrability and public knowledge. Several cases are recounted where companies exploit this IP by concealing vital details and overreach consumers protection rights.
