Larry Nkwor has participated in high-profile dispute resolution matters and has advised local and international clients on complex transactions and disputes. His experience includes:

  • Represented a liquefied natural gas-producing company in a law suit against the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency regarding a claim for illegal blockade of vessels and unlawful interference with business operations.
  • Successfully defended Union Bank of Nigeria Plc and Titan Trust Bank Ltd. in law suits that sought to nullify Titan Trust Bank Ltd.’s acquisition of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.
  • Participating and advising a power generation developing company in a high-profile arbitration against the Federal Government of Nigeria at the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, France. The arbitration is in respect of a USD6bn hydro-power project in North-East Nigeria.
  • Representing MTN Nigeria Communications Plc in an appeal seeking to set aside the judgment sum of N200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Naira) awarded against MTN Nigeria Communications Plc and Nigeria
  • Electricity Liability Management Ltd. at the Yobe High Court for negligence.
  • Representing banks and financial institutions in suits filed by large bank debtors against them as well as in counterclaims filed by the banks and financial institutions.
  • Representing the defence in criminal prosecutions and appeals on a pro bono basis.
  • Drafting and reviewing of commercial agreements for businesses.
  • Provided company secretarial services and legal support to businesses, particularly technology companies.
  • Engaged in data privacy practice, compliance, audits, awareness, and drafting/review of data protection addendums and agreements.
  • Product Counselling: including draft and review of terms of use/privacy policies for companies and their products/services.
  • Corporate Finance: i.e. participated in the legal representation of Shuttlers Metropolitan Mobility Company Ltd. in respect of its USD1.6 million Series A seed financing.
